As of July 1, 2026, new customs regulations have come into effect across the European Union for goods imported from outside the EU, including shipments from Japan.
According to the published information, most shipments with a value of up to EUR 150 may be subject to a customs handling fee of EUR 3 per customs declaration line item. If the customs declaration contains multiple categories of goods, the total fee may be higher.
This fee is imposed by the customs authorities of the European Union. We recommend taking these changes into account when planning shipments to EU countries.
